TRAINING SERVICES

Your training program will be based on your training goals and what works best for your dog.
OPTION 1: Coaching Sessions: Empowering the Family
My coaching sessions are designed to bridge the communication gap between you and your dog. These interactive sessions are open to any family members who want to be part of the journey. My goal is to teach you how to "speak dog"—giving you the tools to read subtle body language and respond with confidence.
What Is Covered

Because every household is different, all training sessions are fluid and customized to your specific needs. Common focus areas include:
  • Leash Mastery: Turning walks into a bonding experience rather than a tug-of-war.
  • Behavioral Foundations: Addressing the "why" behind the actions.
  • Desensitization: Helping your dog feel neutral and calm in a busy world.
  • Reactivity Support: Building a toolkit to manage and move past challenging triggers.
The Experience

You won’t just watch me train; you’ll learn the techniques yourself, ensuring that the progress we make during our hour together continues long after I leave.
Investment
Regular Training Session | $125 per hour Owners will join on these sessions. May be a small group setting to provide more training opportunities and exposures.

OPTION 2: Targeted Private Training: Professional Progress (One-on-One)
These focused sessions are designed for the busy owner who wants to ensure their dog’s training stays consistent. By working one-on-one with your pup, I can provide intensive, high-repetition training that builds muscle memory and solidifies new behaviors in a shorter amount of time.
How It Works
I work directly with your dog to navigate real-world environments and specific challenges. These sessions are ideal for:
  • Foundation Building: Creating strong habits while you’re at work or away.
  • Leash & Street Skills: Practicing polite walking and neutrality in high-distraction areas.
  • Behavioral Maintenance: Providing professional "tune-ups" to keep your dog sharp.
  • Desensitization: Working through reactivity or environmental overstimulation with a professional hand.
The Benefit
Your dog receives professional, one-on-one attention focused entirely on their growth. I handle the heavy lifting of the "learning phase," making it much easier for you to maintain the results at home.
Investment
One-on-One Training Session | $125 per hour Owners will not join on these sessions. It will be Jen & your dog and potentially one trainer dog. This sessions are intended to be temporary and are typically for dogs that are a little more reactive or not yet leash-trained and cannot go on pack sessions quite yet.

OPTION 3: Pack Training: The Living Classroom

There is no teacher quite like a balanced pack. My Pack Training sessions leverage the natural social dynamics of dogs to create a high-impact learning environment. The pack is a precious resource and an invaluable tool; here, dogs learn to mirror calm behavior, find confidence through companionship, and become more adaptable to the world around them.
Why the Pack Works
  • Social Learning: Dogs often learn faster by observing their peers. Balanced "mentors" help newer members understand boundaries and etiquette.
  • Real-World Neutrality: We focus on leash walking, reactivity, and desensitization in a group setting—preparing your dog for real-life encounters.
  • Empowerment: As dogs grow, they become more flexible and empowered by helping the pack maintain its balance.
  • Safe Socialization: This is structured, supervised social work, not a free-for-all. It builds "social IQ" in a way that solo training cannot.
Note: To ensure the safety and harmony of the group, all dogs must pass a series of evaluations during a private training session before being invited to join the pack.
Investment
Regular Pack Session / $70 / 1 Hour
Extended Pack Session / $125 / 2 Hours Deeper immersion for dogs who need more "reps" and environmental exposure.

OPTION 4: Private In-Home Training / Consultation
For in-home sessions, I will join you privately in your home to work on more targeted behaviors. By focusing on your dog's unique fulfillment needs within your daily routine, we can transform your living space into a sanctuary of calm and clear communication. Here are several ideas for in-home training sessions, categorized by the goal of the session:
Domestic Harmony & Boundaries
These topics focus on how the dog navigates the shared living space.
  • The "Place" Command: Teaching the dog to stay on a specific bed or mat while the family eats dinner or when someone knocks at the door.
  • Threshold Manners: Practicing calm behavior when moving through interior doors, the garage door, or the front door.
  • Kitchen Safety: Establishing an invisible boundary so the dog stays out of the "cooking zone" to prevent begging or tripping hazards.
  • Furniture Rules: Clarifying where the dog is allowed to be and teaching an "Off" command that is respected the first time.
Social Manners & Greeting

This is often the #1 request for in-home sessions because it’s where most "bad habits" start.
  • The Doorbell Drill: Working on a neutral response to the doorbell or a knock, moving away from the door rather than rushing it.
  • Polite Greetings: Teaching the dog to keep four paws on the floor when guests enter, rather than jumping.
  • Crate Confidence: Refining the crate routine so the dog enters willingly and remains calm while the owner is in another room.
  • Managing "The Zoomies": Identifying triggers for evening over-arousal and teaching "settle" techniques.
Mental Enrichment & Focus
Great for rainy days or high-energy dogs that need a job.
  • Indoor Scent Work: Hide high-value treats or toys around the living room to engage the dog’s nose and drain mental energy.
  • Engagement Games: Use the hallway for "Recall" games or "hide and seek" to improve the bond and listening skills.
  • Trick Training: Teach "Shake," "Spin," or "Roll Over" to improve communication and build the dog's confidence.
Handling & Husbandry
Prepare the dog for the less-fun parts of life in a low-stress environment.
  • The "Spa" Session: Cooperative care training for nail trims, ear cleaning, and brushing.
  • Muzzle Conditioning: Introduce a muzzle in a positive, fear-free way so the dog is prepared for emergencies or vet visits.
  • Body Awareness: Use household items (like a low stool or a ladder flat on the floor) to teach the dog how to use their hind legs and move mindfully.
Pro-Tip: For the most effective session, we want to try to mimic the "chaos" of a normal day. If the dog only listens when the house is silent, they haven't truly mastered the skill yet!
